General Grabber AT2

Who runs these, they're sub $150 on Tirerack for 31x10.5 and I'm looking at new rubber for the fall. Looking for a few opinoins on them, if you decided to change to something else was there anything in particular that pushed you to the new choice. Thanks in advance.

I was looking at the AT2s as well but stumbled on these Coopers today (metric equivalent to a 31X10.50). $117/tire minus $75 rebate. Discount tire will match and beat that price with free shipping. I figure I can get a set for $400+install.

Reviews seem to be great for the coopers.

My brother picked up a set of those 2 weeks ago when they had an additional 100 off at discounttiredirect too. He got 235s for 290 plus install... (not installed yet or i would give you a review)

Both tires would be good choices. I wanted the at2s myself but got a deal on a set of firestones but those coopers seem like a good choice as well. They seem a little less aggressive treaded so they probably ride nicer on the street.

Personally I like the General Grabbers. The tread pattern makes them a great all around tire. Aggressive but still a good road tire. Didn't really notice much road noise since the BII is like driving a wind tunnel.

Looks like a good deal. I'm picking some up here in a month or so, need to keep an eye out for the Coopers.

I'll be in the market for a set of tires before the snow flies here in upstate NY, and I might have to go with these Coopers. I'm also considering the Kumho Road Venture KL61. That Cooper rebate is hard to pass up though...

The generals are excellent! when i had them in 31's. they saw either mud, sand and snow EVERY saturday and sunday for about a year, never hesitated.... except through 44" ruts.... But my only complaint with them is balancing other than that exceptional wear and awesome performance in all terrains. Gobbles snow from 1"-3' never need to air down in sand and loves mud believe it or not

Just ordered up the Cooper Discoverer AT3's in 235-75-15 from Discount Tire Direct... the price match and $105 in rebates sealed the deal.

Anybody here tried tirebuyer.com? i used them for my stock size kumho at's and was impressed with shipping and nobody in town could touch the prices, ordered at 9 am on monday and were on porch 1 pm on tuesday

I'm looking for new tires, right now i'm considering GOODYEAR - Wrangler RT/S, not a bad price. I can't see though is mounting included? or is that extra?

When it comes to Goodyear Wrangler RT/s, look elsewhere.

I replaced my dismal ones with Michelin LTX M/S... huge difference...

I'm liking the Hankook Dynapro ATMs I just put on my truck earlier this week. Barely more noise than road tires, and aggressive enough they are easy to clean out when you go into something messy.

Those grabber AT2s are made in the USA and Mexico depending on the size, and they are made in plants in both countries in the size you are looking at...

So I don't know, that may influence your decision, you've got a chance of buying made in america tires...

I have the generals on my escape and my friend has them on his Nissan I love them he loves the just as good and the bfg all terrains I have them onmy ranger

I put General AT2's on my 98 Sport a few months ago, and I love them. They eat up any terrain, and they clean off snow and mud real well. They are great in the rain, and not too loud on the roads. I like the highway stability and the steering feel once I found an air pressure I liked. I havent put enough miles on mine to comment on wear, but I highly recommend these tires for a DD and/or casual M+S application.

Could have got 235/70/16 AT2s from TireBuyer for $536 shipped free, with a $50 General rebate, and a $50 TireBuyer rebate (if you can figure out how to get info about it since it shows in the sidebar of the website)...
