Hello all. thinking about getting a new explorer sport w/ the 402 package, rear capt seats, towing package and sunroof.

As the sport is priced as there premium model, why does is not come with factory HID's? The limited's have them and maybe the XLT's too(?). For a $50k mid sized SUV, I would've thought it would come with them.

I believe it is to provide model differentiation allowing for a Explorer based Lincoln Aviator. Compare the available equipment on the Edge Limited and Edge Sport with the Lincoln MKX and you will see what I mean.

I believe HID's are an option on some Limiteds in the U.S. and are standard in Canada on all Limiteds.
