Posted a similar in the General Explorations (sorry, too computer stupid to do a link).
Just paid off my perfect 97 XLT 5.0 AWD at 74K miles, with a total of $175 in repairs to date. Bought it jsut like I wanted it and intend to try to go to 25 years/400K miles. But the factory service guide is inadeqaute for going the distance, so I thought I'd ask for you guys' input. What maintenance items would you do to extend the life of your X? If I remember right the factory manual goes up to 120K. After that just follow the same schedual as you have been on since 50K.
