Whine and RCA's??

In my never ending quest to solve this alternator whine in my car, could this whine be getting to my speakers because my RCA's are pretty generic. Is this possible or am I retarded?

The ones I have are clear and you can see the wire inside the casing. Could this play a role?

Tell me about it, I've got three 10s in the back with 6x9's on hinges (pics soon) and since the subs are crossed over they're fine, but the 6x9s whine like motha! I have these fancy Rockford Fosgate RCAs running back there and I've tried putting a ground loop isolator inline between the rca's and the amp, and that didn't work, and I also bought a groud loop islolator for my power source, and that didn't work, so now I just deal with it (arg!) but the good thing is that you can only hear it with the music down, as I turn the music up it drowns out the whine. I'd like to hear what you kids use to get rid of your alt noise.
