head gaskets blown need ?'s answered please

well my headgasket is blown n my 95xlt. and im gonna replace it. I need to know if anyone has done this and how hard is it. I would also like to know how long it took and do I need anything special. also if someone could give me some info on exactly what needs to come off t pull the heads.

it's not that hard.

well i did it on my 91 , yeah it's not sohc but that is the main diff as far as i know.

to get you started go toa ford dealer a buy a rebuld manuel. NO the chiltons are not good enough!!!!! they tell you just enough to get you into trouble and not enough to get you out. yeah the ford manuels will be 50 to 70 $ but it will be worth way more in your time!!

it will take you a week if you work on it for 2 to 3 hour a day and both weekends. but thats way better than paying some joe-smoe know- nothing 1,000 +or- to do it in a month.

and nothing special is needed that i know of. but i haven't done the sohc but the ford manuel will tell you everyhting you need to know. just a good set of sockets and wrenches, oh and a life saver is a good right angle and butterfly air ratchets, a must for saving time and fatigue of your arms/hands.
