Have a 06 mountaineer, have a check engine light on for a P0420 catalyst, this usually a o2 sensor issue or an actual converter issue?

Check this link might answer your questions, The code P0420 in and of itself could be a few things and honestly a good scan tool that can read the O2 sensors and show whats going on will help the most.
