Finally made a video on this subject that has been neglected for too long. Many feel trans repair is out of their league but some things are too common and predictable this is one of them, and this is how to change it yourself. A future video will be coming on how to diagnose this pack and common issue associated with the solenoids failure. In the meantime here you go.

I just did mine and the tranny is back shifting normal. So thankful for the forum I was getting ready to use the tranny in my parts rig. This project isn't that hard to do I think the hardest part is getting the fluid back in and that's not to bad neither.

Check around on Ebay. I got a new OEM for $130 plus shipping. I was really suspicious, but after I received it I verified it was a legit part. Tranny works perfect.

I bought mine through the old Tousley Ford in Minneapolis area for $275 plus shipping. It fixed my problem. I bought a Bosch replacement pack.

Good deal! Considering how much bullshit a transmission rebuilder might have given you. imp

Not sure why it was so cheap. But it was definitely new OEM. Sometimes you get lucky.

Sweet yeah check around, new oem is best. These can be rebuilt and most rebuilders just replace the bad solenoid and clean up the rest and resell it.

Thanks for the video, that was a great. Just one question, how can I reset the memory of the transmission??? Do i have to do something special??? or just change between P R N D waiting 10 seconds.

thanks really appreciate your help

If you search his Youtube channel he has a video on how to re-set non-volatile memory, including transmission shift points. IIRC, you remove one of the battery terminals (don't recall which one, but I think its the negative), and jumper the (positive?) terminal to the body, let sit for 10 or 15 minutes.

Here's the link to the PCM reset video:
