info on tinting laws

I don't know where this exactly belongs, but I found some intresting facts on the tinting laws for each state. I don't know how correct the information is however.

Seems pretty credible, it has the right info about my state as far as I know. Cops typically leave you alone unless you have REALLY dark tint. My neighbor has a Dodge Ram, and he has his windshield tinted at least 20 percent. Must be hard to see at night!

One of my friends in a Mustang was planning on 20% on the side windows, 3% on the back windshield, and I don't remember what the front windshield was. Well, that's only 29% less than legal....

can someone explain mine to me?
NO / 50% Film / 35% Film / 35% Film / 1996

All I know is that I have 20% all around.

All the definitions of light transmission vs film
is confusing me

They are just saying that you can't have anything on the front, the two front sides can have a 50% film and the rear sides and back can have a 35% film. Just ask your tint shop they normally rate tint here by what the film manufacturer tells them. You are pretty much illegal according to them but it's ok because i'm illegal in my state also and I have never got a ticket. Knock on wood.
