For only $20 per year you can become an Elite Explorer member. Explorer Forum has probably saved you that much already, and will continue to save you money as you learn how to diagnose and fix problems yourself, and learn which modifications really work without having to experiment on your own. Elite Explorer members can change the forum "styles" to eliminate most ads, including blue underlined links, and no ads on photos. Other benefits include the ability to store 1000 Private Messages, upload photo attachments directly to your posts and to our Photo Gallery and more. Join the Elite Explorers today.

If you have a really good dealer (I know oxymoron) then some have been known to turn loose of a TSB or two. I wish you good luck though. The Alldata subscription is just what you need since you are so frugal. By subscribing you will get a lot of usefull information that will let you fix your Explorer yourself rather than pay someone else to do it. It is the best maintenance dollars I have spent on my Explorer. By buying a subscription, you will save a lot of money. There is more available to you there than just the TSBs. The TSBs even have step by step instructions on how to repair the problem (usually) complete with pictures, wiring diagrams, component locations, etc.

TSB = Technical Service Bulletin

They are basically Memo's from Ford on a better way to fix a common problem so it doesn't re-occur. www.alldata.com will list em for free but will not give you details for free.

I'd be a little careful 'bout taking stuff for granted...... Forums such as this need to be a two way street.

Welcome to the site Nevr.....

A lot of the TSB's listed cover the same items. There may be an initial memo describing a problem, then a later one with more info, then another one after that with repair instructions etc. Also, the TSB's are not all repair/fix items. So, don't think there are 124 problems with your Ex........ (at least I hope there aren't!!!)

If you have a specific one you're looking for, I'd be happy to dig up what I can. Not all of them apply to your specific vehicle.
