I have been looking for a new truck or SUT with my new job starting since last month. I will need to carry a ladder with me but that should be about it. I am on here because I test drove a 07 limited ST and loved it. There were a few problems with that one though (no prior paperwork due to being bought at an auction, rear window leaked, subwoofer wasn't hooked up, no keys to bed cover). So I've been looking around at Everything under the sun that I can park in my small driveway and I thin it's come to this or the ridgeline. I think I'd rather take a Ford as I've only owned them growing up and they've proven reliable.

After that rant. I am wondering if you would buy this particular ST and what you may pay for it.

I am going on a test drive tomorrow. What should I look out for? What questions would you ask? Just trying to get some reassurance on this purchase!
Hopefully with your help I'll be a dedicated member on these forums!
Thank you,
-Mike

Nice looking ST. First question to ask is why the complete paint job?. When starting it up and driving it (especially around 2k rpm) listen for rattles in the engine. Check out the shocks, suspension and steering as well as body mount bushings. Ask about transmission service records. Tires original, if so they'll need replaced, too old.

I'm not sure about the price, it's Hawaii so prices are always higher. Honestly if you can talk him down to around 10k cash than that'd be a great deal if everything checked out on the truck, his asking price isn't too far fetched considering the year and mileage.

There are a couple Hawaii members on here so hopefully they'll chyme in.

Thx for the reply midnight. I figured there would be more enthusiasts that chimed in. It was an amazing looking truck only problems I saw were a previous leak through the moonroof (will do a water test on that before I buy) and a piece of rubber on the bed cover needs to be glued down. Other than that I am loving the idea of this truck!

I bet you the drain tubes for the moonroof are clogged with dirt, leafs, debri, etc... or the cavity where the moonroof sits down inside of has debris in it not allowing proper drainage for the tubes and keeping the glass water tight against the weatherstripping. Easy fix either way. Also the third brake lights are known to leak so check that as well. The rubber stripping on the factory bed covers always peel away over time, another easy fix. Hope it works out for ya if you decide to by it, welcome to the club.

It's kinda dead in here now but it gets hopping the closer it gets to spring.

It looks great in the moonroof area now. Definitely going to keep that area clean. Going to offer $11,500 and see if he bites

If I get it before the weekend I'm taking it off road!

The listing was deleted. I hope that means its yours!

Mine has been great. Enjoy!

I think it may be as soon as tomorrow. Trying to get insuance to take it to kaena pt tomorrow (a little off-road)!

Sweet, don't go breaking it on the first time out now. LOL

I missed the listing with the photos? Since it seems to be yours now, can you share photos

I'll be getting it tomorrow. I'll post up some photos when I get it. I'm excited! I don't love the interior color (tan leather) but other than that I love it

I picked it I up yesterday and will get it registered this week! I don't know how to attach photos on here through my iPhone tho

Photobucket or similar then copy/paste image here

It's running great and can't wait to do some interior work (the all tan is driving me crazy). I wish the aux button did something on the radio tho!

Looking at the picture, I can feel how warm it is. I see some blue skies poking threw. I miss it, expectially winter times but should be going back for a wedding in October. What part of the island you stay

Nice clean Trac too

It's pretty warm lately. I stay in Moiliili. Near Manoa. Where did you stay? And where's the wedding.

sharp looking sporttrac. nice score, cloth or leather seats? how much does gas cost there?

Heated leather. Sunroof. Hard cover. Bed extender. I'm loving it so far. The dual exhaust sounds amazing. Gas at Costco is around 2.66 right now. Will go up in July probably tho

Kailua and I'm not sure where the wedding will be, probably in town…unless it's low key for family, waimanalo. I'm a haole but it was the only place I lived that I TRUELY felt at home. Besides the weather I miss the food! everything but poi
