Silver Lake runs this spring (Michigan or anyone close read this!) - Ford Explorer Ranger Enthusiasts "Serious Explorations"®

Ok, i have been to Silver Lake dunes 3 times last year and it was nothing but fun! I have no lift, but I still did quite well. I would say the only requirement is 4WD. If you have wider tires it will help, but it's not required. Also a tow point is required. Rear trailer hitch receiver works well. The runs I am planning now are April 6th, and april 27th. I know it's far in advance, but I just wanted to try to geta huge group together for a day of fun!. You pay around $20 for a flag and $16 for an ORV permit, then for a michigan state parks pass and your set. I bought the pass good for a year and then when ever I would go after that I didn;t have to pay anything to get in. I am opening this up to anyone and everyone. even friend who drive something other then fords (I dunno why someone would want to do that, but oh well)

It's about an hour northwest of Grand Rapids. It is right on Lake michigan in Mears, MI. It is off 31. I dunno where port huron is, but if your near Grand Rapids we could meet here and drive up together or if it'd be easier for you just to meet us up there thats fine.

Port huron is on the other side of Mich. at the south end of lake Huron. I,ll look up silver lake on the map and let ya know.

it's about a half hour north of muskegon and 15 mins south of ludington if that helps at all.

I'd love to join you guys again, but April 6th is the day of my fraternity's formal and the 27th is the day I graduate.

After that, I'm never coming back to Michigan.

Unfortunately not. The formal will be all weekend, and the Sunday after I graduate, I'll be packing up and starting the drive back.

27ths looking better to me...just got to find out if the old lady will be home to watch the baby. Be getting back to ya soon. Oh...and toad...I'm not far from Port Huron...we could meet up...then head west together if you like.

Plus I want to try to get my 2" PA and my tranny cooler on before this.

By michigan state parks pass...do you mean Metroparks sticker??

Metroparks sticker?? I dunno. It's a Michigan State Park sticker....thats all it says. I would assume it's not a metroparks sticker.

Count me in for the 27th. I may bring some friends along also(not sure yet). A ford F250 and a ranger. I'm installing the lift this weekend along with my tranny cooler. I should be all set to go.

yeah the dunes are about 15 mins south of the ferry. I believe it runs still....

I live in Albion. It is between Battle Creek and Jaskson along I-94. I am not sure how trail ready my truck is. But I have good toe hooks on my truck so I can be easly pulled out. I am up for some sand dunes. I can prolly get some other ppl to go to.
