I had recently purchased a pair from Rockauto that were the new integral boot design. Being unaware of the design change I thought they were missing the dust boots so I sent them back stating that they were missing boots. Rockauto sent another pair (last pic above). I messaged them with the picture and they replied apologizing about the lack of information to customers and with the first picture attached. So, I wanted to pass this on to the rest of you guys & gals on here for awareness. The new ones don't require and don't include a boot.

I didn't want foreign made ball joints sold at parts stores on my truck so I ordered these. They have them for $22.xx each before shipping.

Good info, thanks for the heads up. Love their "Problem Solver" products but never a fan of Moog's neoprene dust boots. There is probably lot's of NOS "new old stock" sitting on shelves and likely many buyers will get the old design. BOTH sides installed properly and were never over filled after one year. Moog never offered the dust boots separately and many times would replace the entire ball joint with their lifetime warranty.

The MOOG® Boot SEP.17,2012

The MOOG boot fits tight, keeps out contaminants, allows for grease flow, and is built to last.

Not! Imagine this will be removed from the Moog Problem Solver site in short time.

I installed the new design onto my driver side. I'm just so used to seeing a boot in place that in my mind this just doesn't look right without one.
