Are you a cigarette smoker?

Just curious how many here smoke. I don't, and never have.

I think you need another spot on there for the rare/occasional smoker. I have been known to smoke everyonce in a while, especially if I drink. I am not addicted to it by any means, and will maybe smoke 1 cig/week...

NO!!!!! I have asthma, and I have never even had a puff! IMHO, I can't see why anyone would start in the first place, knowing what smoking does to the human body!

CONGRATS frankrizzo!!!!!

I tried it in highschool, thought it was pretty stupid and never have touched it since.
Figure I can waiste my money in a lot better way!!!

Why would I want some little stick control my life???
It's funny watching people come out of a non-smoking building and work so hard and fast just to get a sig in there mouth.

The other one I like is people hike in our high country and they can't hardly breath anyway because of the altitude but they grab a sig because they say it helps them breath........RIGHT!!!

This is just my my opinion, I know a lot of people like that little cancer stick.

I like a good cigar once in awhile - in a social setting - but have never thought of touching cigarettes. I've also never had the thought of "I must have a cigar," so I guess that means I'm not addicted. It's a good thing, too, because cigars (the good ones) ain't cheap...

Na man, no smoke here... People ask to smoke in my car and i laugh and hold myself back from smacking them upside the head. I remember a girl lit one up without asking.. and i stopped the car and asked her if she wants to walk home with my foot in her arse.

The great state of Florida, this fall, will have a "no smoking indoors" ammendment for us to vote for.

Just say NO!

LOL, great pic mmpc. Ya, most of my friends don't smoke because of the health risks associated with it. My dad has toned down his smoking and a friend i have smokes quite a bit. I think the advertising against smoking seems to be working.

Unhappy

I have to disagree with the anti smoking comercials. I know a lot of non-smokers and smokers, and almost all of them disagree with those commercials. If you do the research, you will find out that if all of that stuff was in smokes, that people would die within hours of there first smoke. They mean well though. Unfortinatly, I started smoking when I was in 6th grade. I'm now 25. I was up to OVER a pack a day. I have recently been trying to quit, and I am down to about 7 smokes a day. It istn those commercials, it was my wife getting pregnant. I dont want my little girl growing up without a dad, so Im almost there!!!!!! Wish me luck...

I don't smoke, but most of family does.

I've never yelled at someone for smoking around me, but I've wanted to do it sooo bad... I think it's irritating to go out and not be able to breathe, to come home and your clothes, hair, and skin.. smell like smoke. My fiance has very sensitive eyes and she can't go out for very long if we're around smokers, because the smoke irritates her eyes too much.

I don't think people who smoke realize what their addiction is doing to those around them. I guess my family doesn't realize the people they will hurt, and cause heartache to, when they die of lung cancer...
Those anti-smoking commercials don't lie.. they just exaggerate a bit..

That's my two cents.. thanks for letting me rant.

I almost went to blows with a big ol' red neck woman (Hey, give me credit, she was bigger than ME and that ain't easy!) for smoking in a queue line at Six Flags in Denver. I asked nice the first time and she blew smoke in my face. When I told her that my wife is very sensitive to the smoke, she said, "Then you shouldn't take her out of the house." That snapped me. In the end, the Christian in me won and I apologized to the lady for acting so rash. Funny how that works. When I said I was sorry, she looked like I had stabbed her in the stomach. It really took the wind out of her sails. It's true that being kind to enemies "heaps burning coals on their heads".

But.... what about the proven scientific data that indicates that second hand smoke is a real health issue? Should ones "rights" ( the smoker ) be allowed to harm the health of the non smoker?
