Forgot, ok this winch mounts to the ball on the back and is powered by the battery. It can also pull boats onto carrier and do what ever.

I say don't waste your money. It doesn't even have enough power to tow the weight of your explorer!!! Especially your explorer stuck in the mud. Your truck doesn't have the mods yet to need a winch anyway. Put some big tires and lockers on first then you will be in good shape

how much does my X weigh anyways. i know i havn't done the mods yet. it's for my best friends jeep and me on the trail. so your saying were better off getting a hi-lift to winch our selves out?

A high-lift, a tow strap, frame mounted tow hooks, a come-along, a doubler pulley, and tree straps will get you a long way towards recovering your truck.

yeah that winch looks like the realness of my toy truck..... it looks like a huge pos... i would do the hi lift.... it will take a long time but it is damn good....
