Computer reset

Is there a way to FULLY reset the computer console that displays your mpg, gallons left, ect, so that the miles until empty is calibrated more accurately? Also, how can I reset the explorer's main computer so that the truck takes into account the exhaust system ?I jsut put on and the K&N kit I will be putting on shortly.

To reset the main computer, simply disconnect the battery. It wouldn't hurt to leave it disconnected overnight.

The easiest way to reset the computer is to pull the negative battery terminal off the battery, and then turn the headlight switch on for 5 minutes. That will make sure to completely drain the backup battery,
