Question F150 Coil Spacer Dimentions

Has anybody made their own coil spacers? If so what are the measurments and what did they use to make them. I would assume its not to hard. Also post pictures of the F150 Coil spacers by them selves so i can check out what they look like...Thanks Brothers

There are already pictures of the F-150 spacers posted here, do a search.

You can pretty much use a generic coil spacer that they sell at 4x4 shops, they work okay too.

The F-150 spacers are nice because they are cheap, the bolt on, they have little feet that keep them securly in place, and they are iron and very strong. I believe (didnt measure mine) they are 1-5/8" tall.

A great addition to anybody with a 91-94 4x4 looking for a little lift. An alignment is needed after install. Took me 1 hour to install both of mine by myself with hand tools in 100 degree heat, including jacking and wheel mounting.

the alignment can be expensive because they have to replace your camber shims with new one's so it's not a simple "Adjustment" around here it;s about $100.
the spacers you can get new for $18 ea from Ford, or for like $2 at a junk yard if you pull them yourself.

If you really wanted to save some cash you can get the spacers, install them, then get your own camber shims, install them, then just pay the $40 for a cheap aligment adjustment.

Where would i get Shims and how much? Also I am assuming that is a negative on being able to make my own spacers. I am making my own shackles so i it would be nice to be able to make them both.

You could make your own, go to therangerstation.com and you can see how, there are 1000 ways to do it.

However for $36 the F-150 spacers fit better then anything you would make. They install like they are suppossed to be there.

As for the alignment shims, do a search, there is another thread going right now with all the info you need............
