What to do with bike

I have a mountain bike that I haven't used in a while and since my truck is going street, I use the bike off-road. Since it's (gasp) a Huffy and it's orange what can I do to the paint? Can I just repaint it after sanding it down? I thought of herculining it, but rubbing that while biking wouldn't be to fun. I was thinking maybe herculine the front and do something else for the rest.

Thanks for the input, don't make fun of the bike either, I've had it for a while and as I poor college kid, I can't afoord a good one.

(P.S. Rag on the bike all you want, hehe go nuts)

hehe ok!
the last mtn bike race i did.. there was a part of it that involved the "huffy toss." you basically had to throw this huffy as far as you could. it was funny.

as far as what to do with it.. hmm.. i'd save up and buy a decent bike for riding trails. put some 26s on that sucka! oh wait.. that's what they all come with.

i don't know.... herculine it. i've never seen that done to a bike.

Well, jonny 5, you could sand it down, buy the paint that matches your truck and herculine some of it.......

Say I ordered some paint from www.paintscratch.com, and I added the flex agent (plastic piece in hatch needs paint). Could I still use this on the H**fy? Would it still work just as good? That is unless someone here has a near full can of LD/Medium Medgewood Metallic Clearcoat?.

Also, paintscratch says I also need to buy the clear coat so the paint will match properly. Do I need to buy the clear coat they have, or is any cleacoat sufficient?

Thanks guys

Spray paint from www.paintscratch= $30, quart of herculiner = $30 what should I do???

Nevermind, I got some Dupli-color Spray on bed liner, not too rough but I have about 40% sanded down already and I just finished spraying the fork. Not too rough but it should work nicely. $7.00 at Wal-mart! Beats anything else

i have few mountain bikes, but my bike last year at school was a gt bmx bike with 20" black three spokes red tires and a miraging paint in a can gold/red/purple/green color shifting paint job. i highly recommend going that route! well other than the fact that mine was stolen.
