help me with a decision...

ok, the opportunity has arisen to trade off my Cobra R's. this kid near me has what i thought were chrome Bullit's, but they are actually AmericanRacing something or other 200's... he wants to trade me even. the wheels are 17x8 and 17x9.5, which will complement my 255/50 and 275/50 Nitto's nicely. here is a pic of them on a stang. watta ya think? remember, my X will soon be all white, with no chrome anywere, and no running boards. getting stock 95-97 rocker guards (thanx Heath ).

not really my favorite wheel, but i like 'em better than what i have now... opinions pleez.

They look awesome on that stang. Post a pic of your truck in a similar position and I'll photochop them on for you!

wow, three "yes" votes... i figured i would get 30 "hell no, those are fugly" votes and one "i kinda like 'em" vote. anyway, im starting to like them more and more, and even though im not crazy about them in the alone shot, they look d@mn good to me on the stang. they also look d@mn good on this kid's stang... i see him tommorrow so i guess ill tell him ill do it.

BTW, keep the votes comin', i havent totally made up my mind yet...

EDIT- i have no pics of my ride in that position, i do however have a side shot that may match that second pic... here ya go...

James,
Do you have a side view of your truck? This might be easier to photochop:

Not sure if this is your style James, but I really dig those ARs. They remind me of the good 'ol Cragars that all the classics used to have (I had a set on my 73 Mach one). They have an older, classier look than the CobraR's do, but that is just me. Both have their good points, but I dig the ARs more.

Robb

btw: Great Pics section525!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thanks again, section. thats enough for me to make my mind up. im getting them. hell, they're free! and they're not Cobra R's! he's even gonna pay for dismount/remount balancing and everything.

yea Robb, i hear ya on the 'ole Crager thing. i have some serious street rod blood in my family, and i guess i just have a soft spot for all things "retro-rodding". kinda shows up in my sport truck ideas. i also wanted some flamed bar stools for the house, but the wife didnt take to that idea.

i also like the idea that i get 8's in the front, and 9.5's in the rear. i know no one here likes this look, but i like barely smaller tires on the front. nothing drastic, i just like the rear a tad bit wider than the front.
