Ive heard nothing but good things about Flowmaster, but after what he was telling me, im not sure which one to get, are magnaflows good too? One shop recommended magnaflow and the other flowmaster.

One thing people got to realize is that most all of those are good choices. It just depends on what sound you want to come from your vehicle. Other than that there is not a big difference in alot of the other departments when it comes to mufflers. Just listen to the way some particular ones sound and make your choices based upon that.

IMO, the magnaflows dont rumble as much as the flowmasters on a V6. Its more of a deep honda sound. I have heard a magnaflow on a V6 Explorer and you could tell it was a V6. On the other hand... most people assume I have a 5.0 with my flowmaster.

Again, this is my personal opinion.

I just wanted to add a little tid bit aboout the warranty thing. I have a Trailmaster suspension lift and recently my power steering started to leak and my steering needed to be rebuilt I have the extended warranty and the ford dealer didnt charge me a thing and left it all to the warranty saying that the lift did not cause any of the damage that I was experiencing. So like some one said its usually scare tactics and with a good head and attitude and being courteous with people will get you along way!! So dont be afraid to do something as simple as a muffler.

Just watch X24's video clips of his exhaust, though I was certain that I wanted Flowmaster, watching his clips sealed the deal.

Yep I had my explorer brand new off of the showroom floor and not a week later I had my true dual exhaust on it. I was not really worried about the warranty being that when I get back I will do certain mods that will pretty much but kill all but the smallest warranty items on it. lol. Heck even when I pulled into the dealer for its first month service checkup the guy who sold it to me was like, "Man nice exhaust!!!". He never once mentioned anything about warranty.
