Looking for Co-op/Intern Opportunity in the Southwest...

Hey everyone! I figure this place is rather diverse so I'd give it a try to see if anyone had any connections. I'm a 4th year Electrical Engineer at Michigan Technological University and I'm looking to get out of here during the Spring and possibly Summer 2004 semester and go work somewhere in the southwest; namely Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Texas.

BTW, I'm a 4th year student because I already did a Process Control Co-op in International Falls, MN, at Boise Paper Solutions and enjoyed that job but would like to get another take on my options as an EE. This is actually my 6th semester in school and I'm graduating in May 2005.

I don't know how many of you work at engineering firms or what, but I thought I'd give it a try. My concentration, I'm pretty sure, is going to be in Controls and Digital Signal Processing (gotta love MATLAB!)

One reason I'm doing this is because I THINK I'd like to live in the southwest but I'd really like to get a taste first. There are very few companies, if any, that recruit up here that are not from the Midwest.

If anyone has any insight for me, I'd be more than happy to give my resume out or get in touch!

Thanks Everyone!

You might check out Intel's website for intern positions, they have a huge plant in Rio Rancho, NM. Also Sandia national labs www.sandia.gov in Albuquerque, NM may have an EE internship that you would want. I may be interning there next summer.

Im a ME in my 4th year at the Univ. of NM. You wouldnt happen to have a copy of Matlab would ya? I need to start learning it and using it for one of my classes.
