reminds me of a movie- when master P's s500 gets ripped pretty much in half.

good thing there was no major damage, but that still really sucks. i've had my truck keyed twice, and my bro's escape was keyed once and his stock rim was scratched with a key or screw driver. its never fun when stuff gets messed with. i hope the person just never comes back- the only thing worse than this stuff is the punishment you receive from the law when you retaliate.

I looked this up on snopes.com Turns out he was the one who did it so he couldnt go anywhere in an attempt to have to "park" with his girlfriend and later score.

Seriously though, sorry to hear of the weak attempt, and glad that no major damage was done, and that you had some bolt cutters handy. It's also good it was a short chain and done as it was, like others said, and not a long one where you had a chance to get some speed and it yanked out your axle, etc.

Damn.. for fun we'd just shut each others computers down remotely if not secured/patched properly, not attack vehicles. That's a bit extreme if it was "a fun stunt".

Prob a that dodge driver, as a Taurus is by Ford.

Another reason to really check your vehicles before you get into them... it's a messed up world, and even though I go through enough vehicle checks/security training about area safety working on a military base, a brief check around tires and the perimeter of the vehicle in general could've prevented potential damage.... it's a frame of mind we unfortunately have to find ourselves in nowadays... especially with that ELF group out there sabotaging/spraypainting SUVs and larger vehicles.
Bastardos!

Ok, so maybe it wasn't some guy stuck on the girl, could it by YOUR X stuck on YOU.... This doesn't seam like any random act.. As noted by the others, not many people would buy some new chain and a lock to vandalize other peoples rides (those kind of people are just too damn cheap).

Note: The lock will probably have finger prints on it.. Have it dusted and you can check it against your suspects at a later date...

sorry to see that happen. I never have understood why people find it funny to mess with other peoples property like that. could it have been your ex-gf. if you have recentely broken up there could be a bit of a jealousy thing going on.

thats brings me to a new point....i have a third suspect inaccounted for....
the ex's new guy friend.
i had met him the night before when she brought him to a group function unannouned. he seems nice but it was odd because he had previously refused to meet me. he lives fairly close, saw my truck, and knows that is a normal hangout for me on the weekends. nothing happened last nite or at work, but he doesnt know where i live and mall security is watching my truck when i work.

i saved the lock but the local PD is no help; i have a friend who is a Detroit cop, i will see if he can help later this week.

i know it wsnt the ex herself; she would never drive 50 miles to climb under my muddy truck and do it...let alone buy a chain; plus she has no idea what is what.

oh, and the chain is about 10 feet.

Glad to hear that they didn't seem to damage anything on your truck, still it's a pretty messed up thing to do to someone.

I just don't understand what is wrong with some people? Move on and get a life. (not you) I myself and I am sure many others here have had run ins with psycho ex's. I had one (back in the day) put a dead animal (raod kill) and some traffic cones in my driveway. i mean come on who picks up road kill and puts it in there car? And why waste the time, money, and effort to put a chain on your car? Thats just asking for an ass kickin.

i had one file assault charges because i found a note to another guy depicting their after-school activities and she tried to yell at me for going in her purse (when it was hanging out). i covered her mouth and told her to shut the F up i never wanted to hear from her again.

the charges were latrer dropped because her sister and mom backed me up. she now has a kid from that guy.

damn, that realy sucks- but it really seems like the greenies. I had them completely deflate my tires and leave a note on my windsheild after one trip saying how i was ruining the environment and they wrote something like "earth killer" in the mud on it. its a shame.

UPDATE

ok , so security at work tells me today that they will def keep an eye on my truck and apparently they didnt keep a close enough eye.....

i came out to find 3 things carved in the mud:

"I Love You" .... drivers door
"You Suck Cock" .....drivers side hatch window
"I suck Cock" ......back glass.

again, no real damage but that meant i had to WASH ALL THE MUD OFF!

it was def a girls writing, and my ex was in town for classes tonite so i am fairly confident she had something to do with it...but i cant prove it yet. i also knwo she is already sleeping with him, which realy sux because ...well.....pm me for info on that one.
