MSD ignition

well expirence has shown me MSD (multiple spark discharge, or MASSIVE SPARK DISCHARGE as i call it) is a good mod for anyvehicle, more air, more spark better gas =bigger explosion in cylinder, means more HP. i know MSD makes a setup for explorers. it's a msd DIS-2 with a dual tach adapter. however for 300+$ would it be worth it? has anyone done this. i had a MSD dis2 on my 93 ranger (twin plug) dont ask how my buddy is an electrical god to have made t work, he sold the wiring diagram to MSD for 800$ (OMG!) mostly cause they had no idea how to make it work...muwahahahaha...anyways i know MSD puts out 120Mlijoules of spark for 20 degrees of Crank rotation, thats alot of spark. but does anyoe think its a worthwhile mod?

Because right now you are still basically stock, you dont have enought big mods (engine mods, blower, turbo) to make it worth your while.

Have you noticed a smell of unburned fuel/air mixture from your exhaust?

Your stock spark is probably sparking all that needs to be sparked. Just making a bigger spark won't really accomplish anything.

Then you will be getting closer, but dont expect anything drastic out of it.
