Thumbs up Your Best Explorer Shot from 2003!

Post your best Explorer shot from 2003!

I'll begin. As the picture says, this is from the 2003 Colorado Blizzard last March. Snow totals for the Denver area were 2-4 feet; we had close to 5 feet in the foothills!

Well, I'd suggest you add an "action" picture of your F-150 to the thread, but nobody wants to see you wiping it down with a diaper... :p

Matt, truck looks bitchin man!

YEah that snow storm stopped all 4x4's, I dont care who you were, if you were'nt in my truck you were'nt going anywhere!! hahaha

No seriously I was the first down a few neighborhood streets, 33" mudders, locked up front with the L/S in the back and I was pushing snow around like a madman. Of course I did get stuck once, but NOTHING was going through there short of a bulldozer. It was 10 days before the snow crews could finally dig my moms house out with a full size caterpillar with chains...she lives up by tiny town. No Explorer is going anywhere with 5-10' snow drifts on the road

my best pic of 2003, Los Coyotes, almost laid her on the roof

!!

That pic doesnt do it justice either......
I wasnt paying enough attention to the trail there becase we were not in a difficult spot. Normally when the the front tire dips and the rear tire lifts I can just keep moving forward and it will drop back down, not that day. Every inch I crept forward the rear would lift more, I got it to a point where the truck was rocking....if a bird landed on the drivers side front bumper she would have gone over. Now thats nothing new for me to be tippy like that, but usually its a side to side tippy, not a end over end!! plus my GF was with me and she was a little "freaked out" We hung like that, I was litterally standing on the brake pedal and holding the wheel (if I let got the front wheels would have turned and the camber change might have taken her over), it was about 10 minutes before the others (Felix, DB_1, and RangerX) hooked up a strap and yanked us back down. They said the tire was 3.5' off the ground, which isnt that bad, but the front tire was in a LARGE hole, I would say it was about a 65 degree angle the truck sat at......heheheh YIKES. Yes the pucker factor was there.....

Hahahaha thank god I have learned my lesson in the last coulple years, everything in the back was strapped down and I know the limits of the BII, before she goes over, I also walked my GF through what to do if it does go over (Dont stick you hands out the window, assume the crash position, that sosrt of thing) but until I get a cage I dont want to be on the roof.

I also lost 2 quarts of gear lube out of the rear diff, I am still not sure how it leaked, must be the pinion seal because my breather is up near the gas filler.......I figured it lost a few drops when they told me it was leaking, but when I got home it took 2 quarts! hahaha

WELCOME TO WHEELING IN CA hahaha Los Coyotes has got some pretty hairy stuff!!
