130amp or 95amp?

130amp or 95amp?

quick question im in desperate need of getting my explorer back on the road,ive been through 2 alternators and 1 new battery in 3 days,and my battery light still is on and volts are low battery still wont hold charge from alternator..its a 92 xlt and im not sure what size alt advance auto gave me 95 or 130, if it is the 95 should i up it to the 130? and if thats not my problem does anyone have any ideas?? thanks a bunch guys

i have heard that both will bolt up no prob. might as well get the 130 amp.

also when the truck is running the alternator is only showing a little over 12 volts..im so lost

just called advance again now there tellin me my alternator is 95 amp and the first availible 130 amp alt is for the 93..so im guessing 95 should be able to cover all my stuff

95 amp should be fine depending on your mods

are you sure the alternators are bad

The first gen battery cables are prone to corrosion inside the shielding.

Could be as simple as running new cable from the alternator to the battery, and also from the battery to the ground point(s).
