Lifted Lumina?

Hey everyone...so i'm here at college and we decided we want to lift a Chevy Lumina high enough to clear some 33x10.5's. does anyone have any experience with this or know where we should start? we're planning on a 3" body lift and some suspension but we are not sure because as you all know, im a ford guy and dunno anything about lumina suspension :p i think we can do shackles in the back or even SOA...i dunno, any ideas will be appreciated and please, if you think its a stupid idea keep it to yourself. thanks for any help you can provide!

Kyle

The Checy Lumina is a uni-body car. The easiest way to get what you want is to put the body on a truck chassis.

oops, its the car. why do we want to do it? just for kicks. the guys car has 250,000 miles on it so he isnt concerned with resale. its unibody? crap, i thought it had a frame. well there goes that idea. damn i thought it was coils and leaves...looks like we'll have to do some more investigating.

I say you find an old blazer frame ( K5 ) and bolt it on there, get rid of that little 3.1

you guys have no imagination at all. of course it can be lifted. go get some 33x10.5's, mount them on his rims, and line them up next to his car. then, see how much body needs to be chopped off for them to fit. then, have fun with the sawzall. if it has coil springs, get bigger ones. if it has struts, ummmm..... replace them with leaf springs out of anything.

I agree with fourxfred. Just cut the fender to make them fit. If you don't care about the car, you have nothing to lose.
