Gosh...I love spring break!! The nice weather here in NC (76 for the high Friday) really gave me a chance to do something productive.

As promised from Adam's other thread, I detailed my truck a couple of days ago. As usual, I followed this precedure:

Wash
Clay
SMR
Up to AIO

What's different about this time is that instead of using SG, I used Maguiar's new product, NXT as a trial and I'm very very impressed. It's very slick and extremely easy to apply. Smells great too!! The best thing is that it's a polymer type wax instead of carnauba so the protection is great!! No wonder why it is highly reccommended by the guys over at the Autopia boards. Here're a lot of pics I took:

The best thing about the NXT is that you don't have to order it from the internet. It's at your nearest auto parts store or Wally World for $14 a bottle. I love this stuff!!!

Wow, Looks awsome. Took fresh paint to get my hood to look that good. And theirs yours that is 8 years old and looks probably better than mine!!

I gotta get around to doing that too. But we're suposed to get snow tonite(bah!) so no sense in doing it anytime soon.

Thanks for the compliment guys!!! All the paint are factory except the hood, which was painted a year ago. The truck has almost 111,000 miles. It still drives like when I picked it up at 34k miles. I love it!!!

Clay pulls contaminants from your clearcoat, like rail dust, break dust, and other pollutants. If you run your finger on your paint (hood preferably, but also on your lower rocker panels) and it is not smooth, it could use a claying.

When you clay, it gives the wax a perfect surface to adhere to. The wax goes on stronger, and usually lasts a bit longer. The only caveat is to keep the paint well lubricated and the bar free from debris so that you don't harm your surface as you clay.

I didnt photoshop this one... Section525 did!!! Dont blame me... I would have picked a much hotter girl!!! But this is what I got so I have to be happy with it!! I would like to see Britney or Cristina on there!!

BTW im on dial yp at 46.6k and it loaded for me in under a min

My connection is probably about 26.6k, and it loaded for me in about the same time that it is taking you all to read this post.
