The PIAA 1500 is almost an exact replacement for my factory Limited fog lights. I have a 96 limited, and the 1500 is the same height ang width as the stock fog light.
The PIAAs fit right into the stock bracket. I used PIAAs double sided tape to mount them to the bracket. Next week, I'll go out and buy some nuts and bolts to securely fasten the PIAAs to the factory bracket. But for now, the tape is holding well. I used a heat gun to really activate the glue.
I cannot believe how well the 1500 fits in the stock location. To 99.9% of the world, it looks like a factory light. (no gaps and a perfect flush fit.)
the performance is incredible. These 55w driving lights are brighter than my 85w low beams. ( I have some cheesy HID-lookalike bulbs). Maybe I'll put the PIAA superwhite headlight bulbs in now.
I definately recommend them to anyone with a late-model explorer!!!
BTW, I got them for $169. I'm pretty sure that is a killler deal. I think retail is at least $215.
