Yeah Quick and CAM kick all sorts of ass! they have dedicated all sorts of time and resources to better the web site. I would like to send out a huge thanks to them!!!!!!! Now IL is known for something besides shi@Y professional sports teams!

Hey, thanks a lot guys. It’s great having a local “chapter” of this site. My goal with the Northern Illinois Explorer Club was/is not to replace Rick’s site (there is way too much excellent exchange of information here!) but to compliment this site. I want to have a place were people from the same region can get together.

So far, thanks to all the members, and especially to Quick and Andre, the club is becoming a big success. We already had our first meeting (a.k.a. Hootersfest that turned out to be PizzaFest) but it was fun none the less. We are now planning our second get together at Andre’s house (won’t his neighbors be happy?) on March 4th.

Then, were getting ready for a big showing in Attica in April. We will probably have a get together befor then to assist fellow members in preparing their vehicles for the trip. But that’s what the NOIEC is all about.

Anyways, thanks to all the Members of NOIEC!

Here are my pics from the BBQ...i got all the trucks except austins. Sorry buddy! and how about this one!! One big happy explorer family!!!!

and of course thanks to all of you guys!! I bet my neighbors won't talk to me at all now! Thanks to you I got to meet my local law enforcement officials for the very first time!

We had fun today, hope to have more meetings like this. Let's just make sure the weather is not so damn cold next time!

See Ya!

Hey hey hey! The NOIEC is now a member of the Illinois Four Wheel Drive Association. The ILFWDA is a statewide organization of clubs, associations, and individuals dedicated to activism, awareness, enjoyment and promotion of responsible off-highway activities. The ILFWDA was formed in 1998 to coordinate the different activities of involved four wheelers and provide a unified voice in the public arena.

Our association with this fine organization will prove to “legitimize” our club in the 4X4 community.

We are getting bigger and bigger! Now up to 21 active members. Please visit www.noiec.com for more information.

Thanks guys!

Cam-

I am wondering if we can get part of a national org? Also not to sound ****y, but what does this organization do for us? It sounds good I read there whole web site last night. I was just hoping you could shed some light my way.

The Illinois Four Wheel Drive Association is a well-respected group. They are made up of many “clubs” and facilitate group outings, charity events as well as perform political functions. They represent over 14 clubs consisting of over 670 families and individuals. This makes for a much stronger lobbying group then our small club alone. For example, the ILFWDA is having a “Storming Springfield” outing on May 17th. They are hoping to get at least 100 trucks. Essentially, this is a rally to show our feelings to the legislators about property for use in Illinois.

The ILFWDA doesn’t actually do anything for us so much as they facilitate or, organize events involving multiple clubs. Because, the ILFWDA has gained much respect in the 4 wheel drive community, our association with them should prove to “legitimize” our club too. Not to say the Northern Illinois Explorer Club isn’t a legitimate club, we are. It just doesn’t hurt to ally with local organizations that have similar goals as us.

It is not unlike most people’s reason for joining the NOIEC. You want to get together with people that have similar interests as yourself. Hopefully, by this association, you can gain some knowledge and help when you need it. This is exactly why the NOIEC has joined forces with the Illinois Four Wheel Drive Association. Power in numbers! Every member of the NOIEC is automatically a member of the ILFWDA.

I hope this answers your question.
