Ok guys,
I know there are a bunch of us mud-slingers down here just waiting for a club to form. The time is now! We have people from all over Florida here that want to participate in a club so let's get it started. post your replies, thoughts, ideas - whatever... here or email me at jonm@explorerforum.com

You already know I'm in. I tried to contact the rest of the florida members thru the P.M. system, only got one response..Let's get together sometime in the next couple of weeks and get the ground work going. Maybe a state park between here and there, Let me know..

Works for me - what is between us? Sarasota/Bradenton? Generally I work weekends, but with a couple weeks notice I can get the day off with no probelms. It may also be helpful to fin out how a couple of other clubs are run - help to set things up here. I've already checked into some domain names - www.fl-explorers.com is available. Food for thought anyhow...

Hey Jason 0 glad to hear from ya!

Actually had a big change in the gear issue. Was going to do the 3.73's, but sold them so I can get 4.56's. Lift is stil en route (from 4 different people I might add) so, to answer a short question in rambling form, no - nothing's done yet. However, been a great week here at work and the next few look superb as well. That means all will be done by end of May. Problem now is I can't get time off to do anything until then. It's those tourists that fund our economy - gotta sell them houses now cuz summer time gets real slow here!

I am calling Mike (mdrut) tonight to see about setting a meeting time in the next few weeks. I'll keeo you posted.

Actually, I am lloking forward to it. I just wish I could start now. I have about 6 weeks where my parents are in the Bahamas so I stole their car

But - they'll be back by the time I get to the major mods. Right now I am doing some sealing, waterproofing, moving vent hoses and some electrical work. Fun stuff isn't for a while though...

Have you found any places to make a trail run.It's so dry right now it's hard to find good mud.

Up your way there has to be some little hills - besides, mud gets your truck all dirty

mdrut is looking into a few trails for us to hit in a couple of weeks. This will be the first run of the Florida Explorers Club! We should be able to get 4-6 people together. I know some guys in GA, AL, SC and so on would be game for a well organized run in the mountains later this year. I emailed Sinjin for some tips on starting this and managing it... more to follow.

I know of one place to go not to far from me.It dosn't have many hills but it does have all kinds of trails.Richloam W.M.A. it's 55,920 acres of woods.I have a map for the place.There are stiil a ton of roads that aren't on there.

Hey guys, check this out and let me know what you think..www.bubbamudranch.com.Looks like all kinds of fun to me.If you just want to drvie the trails we can do it in the withlacoochee or over at Hog Island.Miles and miles of sand and timber, but no mud yet..

No winch, come-a-long and straps..hehe..more exciting figuring out "how and the world am I gonna get this thing out!" Guy I work with goes to bubbas regularly, they will pull you out.

Just a idea, I'm good with camping and fishing and trail riding..Got the gear..Give me some ideas of what your looking for and I'll put it together..Need to know if you have camping gear, fishing gear, how many days you want to spend, Will you bring the family? Lots of stuff I need to know.I can do just about any weekend and have the stuff to do it with..If we are going to the forest, we will have to get a permit.Help me out here guys, let me know what you think..Jon, tonight should be a better night for me if you want to try it again..I could careless about the activity, mudding, fishing, hiking, it's alll good to me.

I'm game.I've been wanting to go out to bubbas for a while.I have 4" 30' long strap I have used many many times.As for richloam you don't need a permit.I go dog hunting out there.I don't know of any lakes out there.There are a few small ponds and a river but I've never fished there.

Hey guys,
As far as camping goes, I can't get away for a weekend until say end of April - beginning of May. I could do either a family thing or a guy trip. As long as there is something for my wife to do - she isn't into fishing or wheeling (yet).
This first run I need to make it a day trip, but I"m game for woods or mud. I have about everything needed for fishing and most of the camping stuff I would need. It's been about 5-6 years since I've done any true wilderness camping. Definitely would enjoy getting back into that!

In all seriousness - I have no real idea where it is or if they will shoot us or not. I leave that in the hands of Mike and Jason!
