Both of my hands are raised. As usual I'll do my best to show up to whatever works out for everyone else. :D

Hey guys!

I'll be back in LA in the middle of May. I have one more month in this hell hole (it was freekin' snowing two days ago!) and then it's back to So Cal for good. So I'm up for something once I get back.

peace

Mike

I'll raise at least two hands to that.

I wanna wheel. . .anyone else interested?

Maybe a half-day trip to San Gabriel OHV this saturday morning?

Me and some friends are also planning on a trip up to Red Rock OHV - Last Chance Canyon and another one to Frazier Park - Miller Jeep trail (whenever the snow clears). If anyone is interested, shoot me some contact info and I'll get back to you. (A few weeks ago a friend broke his EZ-locker, so he wants to buy a new locker and put it in before we do either.)

hey how was the san gabriel ohv last time you went jeff. Guess you are hopeing for some mudd. Another thing we maybe can do is paintballing sometime. Dont know how interested you guys are in that but i will be going frequently if ya wanna go. Sat. might work we will have to see i am in the middle of the interior restoration of the fiat right now and hope to finnish it this next week. Dont know if i told you guys yet or not but the speed bug has bitten me and i am going to be getting a ford probe fairly soon. Well this meens no more explorer at least for my daily driver. The tentaative plan is that my dad is going to take it over and drive it. :( But that doesnt mean its not still mine and i cant take it on the weekends. I do need to get out and do some wheeling. Jeff let me know about this weekend and ill see what i can do i have spring break next week so chances are good.

Last time i was at San Gabriel was when I drown my engine. . .therefore I didn't post about it
You know. . I like getting my truck a little muddy. . but the real reason I like san gabriel is because I get to watch all the stupid people do stupid things, and then go pull them out (after laughing at them first) :D
Tommorrow won't work for me afterall. . .family get-together right in the middle of the day

well thats ok because its not going to work for me either. I am trying to finnish the fiat interior in time to take it to fudruckers tomorrow night we will see... Any ways we will get together some time and do something as a group so make your suggestions to the suggestion box and lets get on it.

Anyone from your club interested in a day-long run up in Josha Tree w/me & a buddy?

My buddy Dan and I want to return to the Josha Tree National Park w/some more rigs to run the rocky trail we encountered near Old Dale Mine Road. It was about 7 miles in length, took us around 3 hours to complete, we encountered a fairly "fresh" mine where lots of activity took place up until the end of the 1970s, and isn't really messed up thanks to the conditions of the roads on the way in.
We want to make ourselves a return trip the 2nd weekend of June (the first weekend is the Baja 500!), so that's what we're looking at.
Expect there to be a trail with plenty of space for your tire placement. There are several washout sections to test your nerves, and some of the dry wash sections have a few steep hillclimbs containing technical sections due to tall, jagged rocks in the middle of the trail. Body damage didn't occur to either vehicle, although I was fortunate in one section where I bounced off of a boulder, and my rearend swung out, causing my rocker to nearly miss a large rock.
So, what do you guys think? Is your group up for a moderately intense run like this one? If you would like some JPEG images of this run, I can email them to you, and you can tell me what you think.

Jefe' - your Aztec has a serious TOE problem, You better check the wiper blades!!!!

if you guys ever want to make a run, i'm in. I can't wait to go out again. I might make a quick trip up to mt. laguna today after school.

I say we all go road racing on Mulholland Drive, instead.

c'mon - 4 -wheel drift.........on pavement.

i'd try it. Perfect way to say goodbye to my stock tires.

heh. . you're going to be saying goodbye to more than tires If you try "racing" around on pavement in 4wd. . .like a t-case chain, hub, axle, driveshaft, etc.

On a side note (or perhaps its the main note :) )
There's a Truckhaven run planned for this weekend for anyone interested in chasing around a few Big Dawgs out there:
