got a 92 nav 2dr and luv it! did a lot of new mods lately and am thinking about new tires/wheels---what are your thoughts on what size makes sense --i live in miami and rarely off-road.

currently have the stock 235/75/15 wheels with pretty good duellers---whats the largest size i can go without a lift ?

thanks

Sometimes 31x10.50, but they rub for many people.

I also have the same tires on my 93 X Sport. I am buying new tires and am looking for a nice size tire. I have no lift. I use my 4 wheel drive all winter. I don't want to go to a tire that will rub at all. I am also making a trip down the alcan highway in june and want a decent ride. Any reccomendations?

Can I gain a little vehicle height with tires that won't have a chance of rubbing?

If nothing else should I switch to a 16" rim and tire? I heard they ride and handle better. Any recomendations on brand?

i'm interested as well, i have a 93 explorer eddie bauer and i'd like to know the best size tire to go with.

i'm sure they're 15 inch rims, but then again i've never looked. pics on my webpage of the common eddie bauer rim if someone could tell me :)

I don't know if this will help, I have a 2001 Sport
Trac 2X4. Came with 235x75-15. Just put some 265x75-15(equivalant to 31x10.5-15) on last week. No lift and no rubbing.

TIRES.....

Like Alec said, 31's are it, but probly 30's more likely as the suspension sag will affect fitment

See above......

What brand are you asking about Tires or Rims? the 16" rim is nice, but the tires and rims are a bit more $$$

You have stock 15x7 rims, only rated to about 40psi, so if you get big off road tires rated for 50psi, you cant run the max presure without the risk if rim failure or damage.

peace:D

I had 31x10.5 Bridgestone Duelers on my 92 and the only time they ever rubbed was when i had my tires turned full **** and backed up somewhat quickly or over a bump. Other than that I loved the 31's and thought they made the truck look better too.

ive seen them with 30s no prob but you wont be happy... save up and get the 2" suspension or 2" body and go with 31s. youll save more in the long run.. because you got the bug and youll kick yourself for not going bigger.

you should check out Dead Link Removed and join the forum. we get together and run nearly every month. we have a great time.
