I have 15x8 rims and I was wondering if I could run a 33/12.50 tire on them? Is this acceptable or a nono? Just asking because I have read here that you should only go 4" over the rim width, and also that this will work. Input is appreciated. :D

Sure you can. That combo is better than good.

Yup, on an Explorer 8" is better than 10" actually.

I agree with section525, 8" is a ideal for the X.

Thanks you guys, I just wasnt too sure because I heard that you should only run up to 4" over rim width. However the tires that I want are bigger than that. Im going Superlift SOA and TT front, thats why im askin about meats right now.

Thanks for the input again :D

There is no way you are going to match a SOA with just a TT. Am I just reading this wrong or was it a typo??

You are reading it wrong, and I typed it kinda confusing. I am purchasing the superlift kit. I will do a SOA in rear(around 5-6") Then with the superlift installed on front(4") then do a TT to match the rear(+1-2") So a total of 5-6" in rear and a total of 5-6" in front. sorry for any confusion :D

Hell, with that lift figuring, you should be able to fit 35's. I thought I was reading it wrong too!

Oh alright, thats better. I was thinking that would be one hell of a rake you would have there. Thats going to look awesome. Posts some pics when your done.
