All I can say is WOW, excellent product, was in perfect condition when I received it. The packaging is really really good. No imperfections with the paint whatsoever, didn't even have a fingerprint on it.

I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to add some visual flair to their Explorer. I really can't wait until I get my EE airdam installed and all my bumpers/trim painted black!

NICE!!!

you planning on getting some rims?? or lowering it(if its not already)

Also if you dont mind, can i ask how much it cost?

PEACE

Is that simply cosmetic, or did you actually cut your hood open to let some air in? It looks very nice... I Like.

Very nice !! How much ?? and did they paint it and send it to you like that ?? Also was it just a stick on piece or is it actually fastened on there ??

I deffinitely want to get one of those!

Actually I already do have rims I just got some, they are Cobra R's, I just haven't put them on yet because of winter. I was going to wait until the winter season ended but I'm not sure I might not be able to hold out :D But we'll see.

As far as lowering my X, actually yes! I just ordered an EE X-Spec suspension kit and that shipped out on Monday. As soon as I get the kit I'm going to start the install. I have MAJOR plans for my Explorer both cosmetic and performance related.

As far as the price, they are available for order on Explorer Express' website:

Simply cosmetic, for now. I don't have the need for it to be functional right now, so I didn't bother. Once I either swap in a V8 or get the EE SOHC 4.0 S/C then I will look into making it functional.

Thanks all for your comments!

i have the hood scoop in my basement waiting for spring

Tape, didn't want to drill through my hood, at least now.

Looks great  It looks like they do a good job on the paint.

Yeah its perfect to be honest. Couldn't get any better nor ask for any better.

If you decided to cut a hole under there you would have to get use to washing your truck a little differently. You can't just spray all over the place. You have to be careful not to spray so much water in the engine bay.

On the other hand, you could chrome some part of the engine, anything that's visible through the hood scoop and that would look awesome. You will get plenty of guys gawking at your truck at the stop light. :)

I wonder how it would look facing the other way?

Very Nice. I want order one too, but on the website it says it is only for Sportracs 2001-2004. Is this the same one you ordered or is there one avaliable for earlier models. I have a 96 which shouldn't be too dfferent then yours. Also what do they use for the scoop opening to block it off so air doesn't rip it off the hood. How is the Fit, did you have to do any modification to it to get it to fit right? Thanks

There's a lot less air going inside the scoop at full speed that you might think. But I do think that its better that it is bolted on than just the 3M tape. The adhesiveness tends to go after a few rainstorms.
