Does anyone know how to get the cover off the overhead map lights? One of the lights is out but I dont want to start prying the cover off and break it. Anyone know the best way to do this?

I tried replacing the map lights in the 1998 mountaineer and they melted the plastic and completely screwed up the map light area. Does anyone have any suggestions? Also, where can I get the correct light - what size and one that doesn't melt the map light area, please. Thanks
