2003 ford explorer for the last week my drivers door has been stuck both in the mourings and when i get out of work late at night. all the other doors open fine.

Once the interior warms the door will eventually open fine but this doesnt do me any good in the mean time.

what could be freezing causing just this door to get stuck? latch? hinges? door seals? if so what could keep them from freezing up?

i used to have a problem where extreme cold would make my door not latch, so it would never stay shut, after car warmed up, door would latch again...

used to fix the problem by pulling both handles repeatedly till it latched, usually after for or five pulls...

exact opposite of what your problem is, but probably the same design flaw causing these issues...

from my experience the problem lies in the design of the latching mechanism itself, not sure what is wrong with it, but wd40 may free it up,
