This just started acting up a couple days ago. I normally open the rear hatch glass with the blue button on my remote or the rubber button next to the license plate. It quit opening the glass but you could still hear the relay working inside the door. I pulled the trim panels away and removed the vapor barrier and these chunks of plastic fell out:

It appears to be some sort of retainer for the end of the cable that pulls the latch to open the glass. Does anybody know if this entire latch assembly has to be replaced to fix the glass release mechanism if the only thing wrong is this plastic collar?
