1994 Ford Ranger Brake Prob.

Hey I recently bought a 1994 Ford Ranger XL Super Cab. It Has the 3.0 V6 in it...I love it!! ha but one problem i need to get fixed it that when I put it into drive from park it feels like the e-brake is on or something...I have to hammer the gas a little bit and then my tires will go...otherwise they are locked up. Anyone know what this is?

Did you take a look at the rear brakes with the drum off? The shoes might be too tight if you can't remove the drum or it could be the parking brake like you mentioned.

is it deff your wheels holding u back or could it possibly be the tranny? does the rear end ever get tight like ur talkin bout when u stop fully at a stop sign or a light? if not then it prolly not a brake prob.
