I'm giving you a review of my experience using 1A Auto | Aftermarket Car Parts - Buy Quality Auto Parts Online for my suspension overhaul about 2 years ago.
I took the truck for an alignment, and my guy tells me I need new ball joints and inner and outer tie rods. Maybe it's just me getting older and wiser. But every time I buy "less expensive" parts, I get burned. In 1Aauto's defense, most parts are made in Mexico or China now, even the old dependable brand names. In my opinion, dealing with Chinese parts is like going to a casino.
The Chinese can make high-quality stuff. The problem is quality varies widely from supplier to supplier and sometimes from batch to batch. Dealing with China is like a box of chocolates but with candy-shaped turds and small explosives mixed in with the chocolate. ...you never know what you're going to get.
I'm assuming my alignment guy isn't lying to me because I've dealt with him for years. He knows I do my own work. But it'll be this weekend before I have time to check. They look fine just on visual inspection, except for the swaybar links; the rubber there does have some cracking.
Assuming that I will be buying some new ball joints, inner and outer tie rods, and sway bar links, recommendations are welcome.
