4 wheel drive problems

Can any body help me out with a problem I'm having. The problem is My 98 explorer 4 wheel drive lights on the dash are flashing (both High and Low) approximately every 5 minutes, they will flash 5 or 6 times. I have tried the switch on the dash, and the vehicle will not go into 4 wheel drive. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!!

That seems to be fine I was looking around on some other sites and from what I read it seems to be more of a module issue, but I'm not to sure. I was thinking that there may be a code stored in the comuter that may lead me in the right direction. But I'm not sure how to check the codes on the computer quite yet.

Take it to an AutoZone and check the code with a loaner ODBII code reader, you can do it for free there. Then you'll know what's going on.
