So after destroying my overdrive drum/planetary assembly I decided to rebuild my 4r44e in my 2000 2.5L Ford Ranger. First AT rebuild BTW.

Here is what I changed/installed:

Transtec Seal Kit
Rabestos Steels and Clutch Discs
New intermediate servo and overdrive servo
Borg Warner Intermediate and Overdrive bands
Borg Warner 50155 EPC solenoid
Transgo Shift kit (didn't do the shim on the center support or intermediate servo orifice).
Overdrive Coast Brake Drum/Planetary Set/One way clutch

Now all my forward shifts are great, but when it is put into reverse there is a slight delay and then a big harsh shift into reverse.

I made sure to torque my VB bolts in stages, 50 in/lbs, 75, 95, and then one more round of 95.

Also I used homemade alignment pins to set the gaskets on both sides of the VB.

I only removed the parts of the valve body that were necessary for the Transgo kit. Also, double checked all L retainers.
