5R55E VB Update

well i just got the VB out and whoa baby was the gasket bad. i could see it sticking out by the servo about a 1/2" after taking just the pan off. it was blown in three different places and it was especially bad right above the sylanoid next to the EPC. i am working with two drop lights right now so i will do the VB tonight and put it back in tomorrow morning and update.

From what I've been reading, it seems that sometimes the EPC solenoid's pressure could blow out the gasket. Did you use an In/LB torque wrench on the VB bolts, and upgrade to bonded gaskets?

Yah i have a in/lb microtorque that i will use when i put it back in tomorrow. the gaskets came bonded to the sep plate, its a 99 sport, i guess they are bonded in the later models. i just finished putting in the new EPC and ford mod. im not doing a shift kit so we will see if this alone cures the flare.
