93 Sport....Stalls While Moving

My 93 occassionally stalls while driving. It does it at low speeds and at highway speeds. It's very random. Sometimes weeks will pass between incidents. A new fuel filter hasn't solved the problem. Is it most likely the fuel pump? Any other thoughts?

I'm not getting a "check engine" light nor are there any starting or idle problems.

My brother's (used to be mine) Toyota pickup just had the same problem. We replaced the fuel filter and nothing happened so we took it to the local shop and got my dad's buddy to look at it. He said that the carb was all gunked up and had to be cleaned out. Granted, X's don't have carbs, but there could be something clogging your fuel system. One other thing, your timing could be way off. I know that timing does effect gas mileage, so maybe it could also effect how your truck idles. Just a thought.

I had a similar problem in a '86 Audi, fuel pump relay was faulty.

'93 Jeep Cherokee, crank position sensor was faulty.

Both can cause stalls anytime, any speed.
