I came across a great article on www.off-road.com which
I frequent quite often, and Avalanche engineering who
makes rock buggies and other off road products has recently purchased a large chunk of land (800 acres)near the Colorado/ New Mexico border which they are calling Avalanche Ranch. According to their website (http://avalancheengr.com) it's open to the public for off roading as well as camping. Here's a link for all the info on the ranch itself:
