Belt tensioner problems

It seems mine is shot, and it wont flex when you press on the belt. My belt squeaks when I turn the ac on and I think my tensioner is gone. How hard is this to replace, and where can I find out how?

its pretty easy, use a 3/8 ratchet, or if your is a bolt then a socket and pull on it then slide the belt off, then take off the bolts holding it on and and put in the new one..

if your going to do all that then put on a new belt as well and keep the old one for a spare

wow, I did a 170$ job in 30 minutes for 68$ and the squeak is gone (knocks on wood)

yup, i had to do this on my break at school, i put on a new belt and a ideler wheel in less then 30 minutes..but it was in my ranger...had a hard time sliding the belt between the fan and rad but i got it
