I have a 1986 ford bronco II 4x4 that dies after about 30 minutes of driving/idling. It will start back up once it cools down. It does not appear to be getting fire once it dies. I have replaced cap and rotor, ECM on distributor, fuel pump relay. Anything else i could replace? I might try the coil as someone said it could possibly have a crack in it and be grounding out when it heats up but its mounted to plastic on the driver wheel well so i dont see how that makes sense. I have a second vehicle already but i would like to fix this one because it gets better gas mileage then the 97 merc mountaineer v8. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I would Ohm the coil out and see if it falls into specs. May need to get something like a Haynes or shop manual. It will tell you how to go about it.
Also does the coil get hot after it's been running. I bet it's the coil.
