Changing Transmission Fluid

Not sure if the transmission fluid on my '02 Explorer was ever changed. Went to the local AAMCO shop and was quoted $99 for a "power purge" and $199 for "power purge" and a filter,screen etc service.The $199 also includes a lifetime 1x a year fluid change. Any thoughts which one I should get. No problems - just routine service.

If they're going to change the fluid and filter once a year for life, then I would go with that one for sure! For the extra $100, it seems worth it to me.

Welcome to this forum! Make sure that they use Mercon V, not III with the additive which adds friction modifier to made it perform like Mercon V.
