test the coil

I looked in my Chilton's re testing the coil...man, it looks like instructions for switching out the dilithium crystals on the warp drive of the latest model of the Starship Enterprise.

Way beyond this space cadet's DIY ability! Any of you with Scotty's credentials live in the Seattle area that I could come visit? I'll drive the X over since my transporter's on the fritz. Thanks!

Maybe you should swap 5 and 7 for the factory wires and see if the light does the same thing.

swapped 5

Yep...did the swap on 5 and got the same "faster than idle" flicker. Now for some reason, the new 7 wire is ok so I didn't bother to swap it with the old one.

I think this is telling me something is wrong upstream,, but what....I dunno
