fender flare removal

is it possible to remove the factory fender flares from the 95-98 eddie bauer explorers? are they bolted on? if you take them off, will there be holes in your fenders?

There will be holes in the door. The fender flares attatch to the bottom side of the wheel well so you wont see the holes there. I'm pretty sure it will leave a couple of holes in the rear doors. There will be visible holes all along the bottom where running boards go. There may be other holes too.
