I just got a 97 explorer limited and the heat is coming out when the climate control computer is off. I have dealt with these dang computers like this in the past in other vehicles and I hate them. If I were to pull the manual turn knob set out of a XLT or XL will it plug into the connections behind hit. I don't know if anyone has done this yet. Thanks!

You cannot go from Electronic Automatic Temperature Control (EATC) to manual A/C controls without extensive modification.

When you say "the heat is coming out," do you mean the fan stays on when the EATC unit is turned off?

Fan does not sound like its running but there is a slow steady stream of hot air always comming out of the floor ducts even with the eatc off?
