I just need to know how to re-install my new cv shafts and make sure that they are seated in the housing 100%. They come with the circlips but after I installed them the 1st time, there was in & out play between the axle housing and the cv shaft. on the passenger side there is the long axle that goes into the diff. , that should just slide back into place right? Please, any help would be great.

Thanks-Brian

The cv shaft should just slide right into the diff. on the driverside and into the axle part on the pass. side. The pass. shaft that slides into the axle than into the diff should just slide right in.

When u say there is in and out play between the axle housing and the cv shaft is it the play from the cv-joints or is the shaft that goes into the diff. sliding in and out? The shaft should not slide much, thats why that ciclip is for. But u will have movement from the cv-joint it self, where the rubber boot is.
